What are the 7 steps in the Interior design process?

1) Study the client brief

A professional interior designer helps their client to achieve their dream house and for that, good communication with your client is the key to know their personality. A single detail from the client can help the designer to create the client’s desired house. Designers write down the single detail of their requirements, likes, dislikes, and their taste of colours. Also, they observe their personality to know them more and keep in mind the things that they don’t want. After studying client needs and tastes designers are able to create a fulfilling space for their clients. What Are The 7 Steps In The Interior Design Process?

2)   Research of living of client, goals, lifestyle

Before the project starts, it is essential to know the client’s personality first and jot down the mood that they want in their dream house. Client meeting helps designers to get to know their client. Here they study the client’s goal and their living space. They know their profession that leads to their personality as well. After the client meeting, they understand their client’s ideas, choices, way of living before, and so on. This helps designers to create the theme style for their clients to achieve the desired space.

3)   Brainstorming

Brainstorming is an important step to create the actual space for the clients. After understanding each requirement of clients, designers create a theme style by brainstorming. It may take more time because they have to add their creativity and unique things to make the space more interesting. Professional designers are experts; they add their out-of-the-box ideas to client’s needs to make the space functional, comfortable, and aesthetically beautiful.

4)   Concept Development

Concept development is simply the process of creating concept design which is always the start of good design to create a particular space. Concept design helps to create the colour palette or theme for clients. Designers need more time to create the concept design. Concept design helps to turn ideas, likes, and themes into reality with good planning. Concept design is the design theme that creates the space by carefully selecting colours, materials, furniture, artefacts, and unique pieces and turning the ideas into reality.

5)   Revision

As for every process at the end, we check whether or not it lacks something. So it is essential to recheck them while designing the space and if there is any risk or problem we can fix it without costing more. Interior designers aim is to create functional space and solve the problem as well. They want to create a space that makes a happy space for their clients.

6)  Completion

It is the end step of design where designers execute the final 3d view after re-confirming with their clients. Here designers need to communicate with their contractors from time to time to avoid confusion and problems. The designer needs to supervise the site as well for avoiding major problems so that they can give the desired space to clients.

7) How to define a project management timeline?

Managing every project timeline is a major thing but choosing the right path to go on the process will help to create the desired space in time. It should be started as soon as possible after meeting the contractors, electrician, skilled employee, etc. Before setting the timeline it is important to use the time that is going to be used in every step. Separate the process and give them the time by date because setting a particular date can work effectively rather than other things. As designers are busy people, they need to set deadlines with their clients as well which leads to going to further steps. When the design phase is over then selecting the delivery of the right materials is important. Giving every step a deadline can help to go on the project with fewer difficulties.
